    Preparations are underway for the annual Halloween Carnival at the at the Lincoln School Gym on Thursday, Oct. 31. During the carnival, elementary-aged students can participate in games and activities put on by the 7th and 8th graders.     Lincoln School's Pink Week came to a close on Saturday, Oct. 12. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, students wore pink throughout the week, and athletes at Friday nights Volleyball game wore pink shirts, pink socks and had pink bows in their hair.     The Friends of the NRA held their fifth annual banquet in Lincoln at the historic Lincoln Community Hall Sept. 19, with roughly 150 people attending the sold out event. The group held their first banquet in Lincoln in 2015 and in its early days, they raised approximately $13,000.     Citizen’s Bank hosted a retirement party last week for long-time employee, Jewelie Hoxworth. After 14 years with the bank, Hoxworth decided to retire from her position to be home more and to help care for her mother, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
