Nicole Drake is one of the new Pre-K teachers at Lincoln Schools this year. She was inspired by her mother, who is also a Pre-K teacher, to choose this career path. Drake, from Helena, attended Rocky Mountain College on a soccer scholarship and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. The Valley Christian Lady Eagles flew into the Lincoln gym Friday night, Sept. 27 to give the Lady Lynx a heated battle on the volleyball court. Lincoln got off light during the winter storm that blanketed most of western and north central Montana in deep snow. According to the National Weather service, the Lincoln area only received about five-and-a-half inches of snow, on the lower end of a list that saw areas east of the mountains covered in several feet of snow. The Friends of the NRA held their fifth annual banquet in Lincoln at the historic Lincoln Community Hall Sept. 19, with roughly 150 people attending the sold out event.
