Girls on Shred, a Missoula based skate and snowboarding group, hosted a training day for about 15 of their volunteers at the Lincoln Skatepark Saturday, May 15. Lincoln students in 3rd-8th grade competed in the Montana Battle of the Books on May 7. Battle of the Books is made up of three teams of three students each, with one alternate. Lincoln teens got a little return to normalcy this year at the Lincoln High School Prom Friday evening. The original plan for the dance was to host it outside at the Hooper Park pavilion, to allow the kids a bit more freedom without the need for masks. The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office awarded Lincoln's Aaron Birkholz with their Achievement Award during Lincoln's May 7 Government Day meeting, for his role in resolving an armed standoff in March.
