Stopping the leaks

The roof of the 48-year-old fire hall had been repaired several times over the years, but in recent years leaks had developed that were saturating the drywall inside the building, putting both firefighters and equipment at risk.Fire District Trustees had hoped to have the roof replaced last fall, but winter weather pushed the work back until this spring. Bushell's crew removed the old roof, installed sheeting, which the building was missing, and completed part of the new red metal roofing Saturday. They competed the new roof installation Tuesday morning. (Roger Dey Photos)
