July Fourth events on tap in Ovando

Ovando is once again hosting their annual "Everyboy participate. Nobody Watches" Independence Day Parade, Wednesday July 4.

Anyone interested in taking part in the parade, known for being short on formality and long on small town flair, should be at Trixi's at 10:30 a.m. to line up.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. and heads down into the heart of Ovando and takes a turn or two through town.

The Stray bullet will also open as a Beer Garden at 11 a.m.

After the parade, hotdogs and hamburgers will be on the grill, with donations for the meal going to benefit the Ovando Volunteer Fire Department and Helmville Quick Response Unit.
