Obituary: Mary Ann Mailloux

On the morning of Sept. 1, 2018, Mary Ann passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness, comforted by her husband at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She was 58 years old.

Mary Ann was born on April 9, 1960 in Helena to David Petek and Judith (Dahl) Nelson. She graduated from Capital High School in 1978. She then stayed in Helena working food service.

Mary Ann met Tim Mailloux in 1984 and married in March of 1985. They had two children, Becky and Steven. In 1993 they moved to Lincoln, where Mary Ann cared for and raised her children. When her kids were grown, Mary Ann began working at the local grocery store, D&D Foodtown, where she worked for the last 13 years as a shift manager.

Mary Ann enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and loved traveling. Every spring she and Tim would go for a seven to ten-day vacation. They would travel to national parks and many other tourist attractions. One of their favorite places to visit was San Diego. She collected many souvenirs from her adventures and always remembered to find some treasures for her two granddaughters as well.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Tim; daughter, Becky Dailey (Cody); Son Steve Mailloux; granddaughters Kyra and Hayden Dailey; brothers, Dave Petek (Jan) and Jeff Petek and close cousins, Chris Belville (Darcel) and Jennie Robinson (Brian).

She was preceded in death by her parents and her Aunt Marsha Belville.
