Obituary Donald A. Roberson

Donald A. Roberson, 83, of Tinicum Township, Penn., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019. Born Oct. 17, 1935 in Trenton, N.J., Don lived in Milford, NJ before moving to Tinicum Township, Penn. in 1955, the year he married his beloved wife Emma (Templeton) Roberson. They celebrated sixty-three years of marriage on Oct. 1, 2018.

Don graduated from Frenchtown High School. He served in the US Navy Reserves for eight years. Don owned Don Roberson Excavating and Septic Service for over fifty-five years. Prior to that, he worked for Riegel Paper Corp in Milford, N.J. and on various local farms, as a young man.

Don was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Tinicum Gun Club, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and a lifelong member of the NRA. Don was also a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Tinicum Township.

Son of the late Wesley and Frieda (Rummel) Roberson and predeceased by his brother Douglas Roberson. Don is survived by his beloved wife Emma Roberson, daughter Cheyenne Mease and husband Jeff, his son Jay Roberson and wife Lisa, his four grandchildren Nevada, Cody, Shelby, Ward, and his two great-grandchildren Liam and Indy, with three more on the way. A celebration of life for Don will be held in Lincoln, Mont., date to be announced.
