Like youngsters who are all arms and legs but fall down a lot, the tall timbers of the Clark Fork Mountain Cats, who as a team posted an average height of 6-feet, 1-inch, will grow into their size some day but it wasn’t today.
The halftime score was 10 - 2 which almost had the local fans rooting for Clark Fork to make another basket before the mid-point buzzer.
The final tally, 23 - 6 was a big victory for the Lynx. Ryan Greenwood, who never played basketball until this winter, was the high scoring man with 12 points, followed by Noah Belcher with seven, and two each for Brad Howard, Josey Rios and Gavin Jorgensen.
Greenwood was also the rebounding leader with four grabs, putting his 5-feet, 11-inch stature to good use.
Jager Vossler, who keeps the team upbeat with his cheerful attitude and wide-body screens, parted the seas when he jumped up to crash the boards and added four rebounds to the stat book.
