Twentynine Palms, California is the home of Joshua Tree National Park and the world's largest Marine Corps training base. It was also the home of Lincoln Pre-school teacher, Mishayla Fallis.
In April of 2018 she had the opportunity to fulfill the lifelong dream of raising her family in the area where her parents grew up and she came to Lincoln.
Fallis graduated from Twentynine Palms High School in 2010 and Copper Mountain College in 2018, with an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.
"In college, (at) about 21 years old, while taking a child psychology class, I realized the importance of children getting an early start on education and felt that I was well suited to give children the structure to learn" Fallis said about wanting to become a teacher.
Lincoln is the first school she has taught at.
Fallis said making new connections with students and being able to help make an impact on their day is what she enjoys most about teaching. She also enjoys the small class sizes, as it makes for a greater impact on each student's success, and likes that the staff at Lincoln School works as a team to help each other out.
When not teaching Fallis loves the outdoors and the scenery of Lincoln. She also loves to cook, ride bikes and take adventures with her two boys, Michael and Jacob, and her 9-year-old pit bull, Bob.
