Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's deputies responded to 31 calls for service between April 7 April 14, 2019 in and around Lincoln, Montana.
Of those 31 calls for service, 12 were traffic stops conducted by deputies on Montana Highway 200 due to speeding. The speed limit on Highway 200 is 70 mph during the day and 65 mph at night. The speed limit through Lincoln, on Main Street, is 30 mph day and night.
On April 11 at around 1:22 p.m., deputies served a warrant for an arrest in the 3000 block of North Lincoln Gulch Road. The individual was taken into custody without incident.
At around 2:00 p.m. on April 14 a deputy took a report of a possible burglary in the 4000 block of Hogum Creek Road. The burglary occurred on an earlier date. The investigation is still active and deputies do not have any leads at this time. Hogum Creek Road has been added to an Extra Patrol List that all deputies working in the Lincoln area have access to.
Other calls for service in the Lincoln area included two agencies assists, three animal calls, three suspicious circumstance calls, one 911 hang-up, one attempt to locate, one family disturbance call, one fire call and one false alarm call. None of the above calls for service initiated an investigation.
