Fifth graders Taylor Jennings, Colt Olson, and Madilyn Gilbert made it through the entire list for a three-way tie for first place for their class during the K-6 Spellng Bee, May 29.

After many rounds against each other, Austin Smith  (left) out spelled fellow 2nd grader Ryleigh Leech.

Clinching the word "explain" Kaityln Brown takes second place for 3rd grade. 

All six students were brought back up for a chance at second place.
