It was a busy weekend for our Sheriff's Office and other emergency responders in the Lincoln area. The Sheriff's Office had seven deputies dedicated to the Lincoln area for the 4th of July and Lincoln Rodeo. That included a sergeant, a corporal and five reserve deputies I worked this weekend as well but had the whole north county to cover. I believe even though our call volume in Lincoln was double the average it usually is, everything went really well.
I would like to personally thank everyone I saw walking to and from the bars and all the designated drivers for drinking safe and responsibly last weekend.
