The Blackfoot Valley's News Source Since 1980
The Annual July 4th Lincoln Valley Chamber of Commerce fireworks show lit up the sky over Lincoln for more than 10-minutes on Independence Day.
This year served as a reminder of the dangers of the privately purchased fireworks when a large mortar on Hooper parks west ball field tipped over. The pyrotechnic shot through the fence and struck a spectator in the shoulder and face. The impact knocked the man down and caught his shirt on fire. He suffered a second degree burn on his left shoulder, powder burns on his face and neck and damage to the hearing in his left ear.
