New Book Club Forming at Lincoln Library

Along with a new librarian, there's something else new coming to the Lincoln branch of the Lewis & Clark Library. Beginning in October, they will be hosting a new book club.

The first get-together is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 3 from 7-9 p.m. at the library, with future book discussions slated to be held the first Thursday of each month at the same time and place.

The goal of the book club is to provide enjoyment and engage more people in the community. Light snacks will be provided and there may also be guest speakers to accompany some of the book discussions.

The new book club is open to anyone in the community interested in participating. It's not mandatory that someone attend every month, but folks are encouraged to participate as they are able.

During the first gathering, there won't be an official book discussion, although the library's "Big Read" of "Lab Girl" may be talked about. Those who are interested and plan to attend should bring ideas of favorite books, authors or topics to help choose books to read and discuss in the future.

Book club meeting dates for the next six months include Nov. 7, Dec. 5, Jan. 2, Feb. 6, March 5 and April 2.

For more information on the Book Club and meeting dates, please visit the library's Facebook page at Lewis & Clark Library Lincoln Branch or contact the library at 406-362-4300.
