Nice Day for a Walk

Klara Varga, Lincoln Ranger District biological technician and a botanist, led the group, comprised of three women and a good dog, on a Native Plant Walk Oct. 26 that included a variety of terrain. From the riparian ecosystem of the Blackfoot River to the hillsides at Alice Creek, she explained how to identify native plants in their winter environment.

"If there's some interest in another plant walk in early summer. I'm willing! Perhaps we will have another in May or June" said Varga.
