Bob (Kenneth Robert) Bushnell, Lincoln, passed away on Nov. 27, 2019 at the age of 82. Bob was the third born to Wilda & Ken Bushnell on Aug. 8, 1937.
Bob worked for Rock Hand Hardware, where he met and became friends with so many area ranchers. He then joined the Montana Army National Guard in 1956. He retired from the Guard in 1993 as a Chief Warrant Officer 4.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jeanne, daughter Diane and sister Pauline.
Bob is survived by his partner, care taker & best friend Bonnie Shown of Lincoln; daughter Jeanette (Mike) Nordahl of Lincoln and grandchildren Tony (Ariz.), Dustin (Wash.) and Nichole (Okla.); son Dan (Shawnee) of Clancy and grandchildren Mahryeon, Darby, Ryleigh and Corben, all of Clancy; sister Lou Burt of Helena; sister in-law Jo Eidum of Helena; great grandchildren Kaden and Zander (WA), Payton and Parker (Helena); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Bob was active in many volunteer organizations such as Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) 16; Eagles Manor in Helena, Montana Weed Control Association, L&C Conservation District, State of Montana Noxious Weed Management Advisory Council, Ponderosa Snow Warriors (PSW), Resource Advisory Committee (RAC), Montana Snowmobile Association (MSA), Lincoln Community Hall; Lincoln Senior Center and he sponsored the Rainbow Girls Drill Team.
He LOVED to fish, hunt & snowmobile and taught his kids, grandkids, and anyone else who would listen and learn, the value and lesson of each experience every day.
The Lewis & Clark County Commissioners declared Nov. 2 as Bob Bushnell Day in 2018 at the government day meeting in Lincoln dedicated to his years of volunteer service.
He has requested no service.
