Final Blood Drive of the Year Dec. 26

The American Red Cross will have their final Lincoln blood drive of 2019 on Thursday, Dec. 26 at the Lincoln Community Hall from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Lincoln Blood Drive Coordinator, Sherry Sidell encourages community members to participate.

"This is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others this holiday season," she said. The average appointment takes 30-45 minutes or so, and donors of all blood types are needed. For the last drive of the year, the Red Cross is sending additional staff to accommodate up to 18 additional slots for donation. This also means they will have a larger capacity to handle walk-ins.

The Red Cross is also providing lunch for donors that day.
