Sending a little Hey Howdy Hey of thanks to all the wonderful folds who make the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Thrift Store what it is today.
Coordinator Diane Ironi started this little store ten years ago in the Methodist Church garage. She wanted to be able to help people out and make money for the community. And all proceeds that are made do just that. Along with the help of her dedicated volunteer’s Becca O’Leary, Joyce Ferguson, Rosaire Hoffman, Ron Lydiard, Susie Ruff, Sylvia Johnson, Sherri Wood, Harold Bickel, Pat Bickel, and Matt Gates.
The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Thrift Store makes donations to the Community Hall, Power House gym, Lincoln School, Lincoln Ambulance, Lincoln Fire Dept., Toys for Lincoln kids, Food Bank, Senior Center, Sculpture in the Wild, Rodeo Club and Fireworks for Independence Day.
Diane also works the food bank, which has an account at Citizens Alliance Bank for donations that are used for Christmas baskets and emergencies. She also coordinates the food boxes for Christmas at the bank. I myself, was blessed with a big box of food and a couple nice gifts.
I have to say it really makes your heart feel good when you know people care enough to bring you these special gifts especially when you are alone on Christmas.
So, thank you, Diane and your host of dedicated volunteers for all you do for this wonderful little town we call HOME.
