Hey Howdy Hey

Truck Drivers

Just wanted to send out a little Hey Howdy Hey of thanks to the local truck drivers that live here in Lincoln. I apologize if I miss anyone. I am just going by the ones I currently know.

I know that Eric Grantier and Willie DenBoer have both been trucking logs for more than 20 years around here, running their own trucks. I am not sure if I am at liberty to mention company names but my friend, Christ Lewenight had been driving for the same company for more than 25 years and having the same products. I think he said he hauls noodles to Seattle and then came back with beer and wine. He told me that the noodles go to China. He said not too long ago the company here in Montana that was making the noodles went out of business. So, a company from China bought it so it would continue to make the noodles.I guess among other things, Montana makes great noodles.

John Sampson is another local guy I know who drives truck. I was unable to talk to him about it, but I chatted with his wife Kelly, who told me right now he is hauling whatever can be vacuumed out of his trailer, but has hauled other things from coast to coast, including John Deere Tractors.

A young lady I know here has been working with her company close to five years now, Ms. Brittany Carter. I believe she mainly covers Montana to the west coast, but I am not sure exactly.

Just recently, I met a young fellow, Mr. Shelton Snyder who started driving just four months ago. The company he drives for, well I am sure they haul many products for different companies, but Shelton mainly hauls for Walmart stores. His plans are to someday have his own truck to haul farm equipment and such around the state of Montana to be closer to home.

These men and women have an important job because without truck drivers, the world would come to a complete stop. From trucking logs to hauling noodles, they help make the world go around.

So, to our local truck drivers, here, now and to those who have driven in the past, thank you for all you do and God Bless.
