Lewis and Clark County 911 Center received twenty calls for service during the week of Feb. 9 through Feb. 15.
Deputies performed three traffic stops and two civil service in the Lincoln area.
Two calls for service generated a case report last week:
A deputy responded to a domestic disturbance between a mother and teenage daughter Thursday, Feb. 13, in the 100 block of Spring Creek Lane. The deputy completed his investigation and arrested the teenage daughter for Partner Family Member Assault. The teen was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Great Falls.
On Tuesday, February 11th, a deputy took a cold sexual intercourse without consent report. The investigation has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sheriff's Office. There is no danger to the community at this time in reference to this investigation.
Other calls for service in the Lincoln area last week were two 911 hang-ups, two non-injury crashes, one animal complaint, one possible fraud, one road hazard, two investigative call for services and two welfare checks completed.
Lincoln Ambulance responded to two medical calls for service.
What does a "cold" report mean? When law enforcement uses the word "cold," we're not always talking about the weather outside, although in Montana that is more likely the case. A "cold" report is a crime that occurred at an earlier time from when the report was made. Usually, this is the case with burglaries, especially in the Lincoln area due to cabins being unoccupied for a season or two. The crime could have happened the night before, or three years ago. As long as we can meet the statute of limitations, we will investigate "cold reports."
