Lewis and Clark County 911 Center received twenty-seven calls for service during the week of May 10 through May 16.
Deputies performed nine traffic stop and one civil service in the Lincoln area.
Four calls for service generated case reports last week:
- May 11: a deputy was called to the 3000 block of Herrin Lake Road for a criminal mischief report. A vehicle’s window was broken out but the suspects did not make entry. Trash and mail was left on scene. Deputies are working on identifying possible suspects using the items left on scene.
- May 12: a deputy responded to the 4000 block of E. Willow Creek for a fraud report. The victim might have been part of a tax return scam. The victim is working with our agency and the state to take care of their identity. This does not appear to be a localized incident at this time.
- May 15: a deputy responded to a report of a drunk driver on Main Street. The deputy later made contact with the driver and processed her for driving under the influence. The female driver was later arrested for DUI and transported to the Detention Center in Helena.
- May 16: a deputy responded to the 3000 block of Stemple Pass Road for a report of a deceased male. The male was found unconscious by his wife. The coroner’s division was called to the scene and both divisions are working together to ensure a proper investigation. There was nothing suspicious about the incident at this time.
Other calls for service in the Lincoln area last week were one non-injury crash, one administration call for service, one assault (no charges pursued), three citizen assist, one false alarm, one family disturbance, one investigative call for service, and one suspicious circumstance. Lincoln Fire responded to one fire call and Lincoln Ambulance responded to two medical calls
It was a busy week for North Deputies, a lot busier than it has been since the start of the pandemic. Remember, if you see something suspicious, no matter how small, please call it in and at least make a note of it. That way, if a deputy is not on at the time, they can follow up with the complaint. You do not have to give your name if you do not want to. In such a small town, it’s vital we all work as a team to ensure our community stays safe. Your North Deputies work hard to take the information they are given seriously and use the full extent of the law to perform a proper investigation.
