Lincoln Farmers Market postponed until 2021

As with several local events, the Lincoln Farmers Market has been cancelled for 2020 due to COVID-19, but plans are in the works to kick-off the event earlier and stronger in 2021.

“While we really had great plans for the market this summer, it was becoming more unrealistic for us to meet the new requirements being imposed by the Lewis & Clark County Health Department,” said Jason and Tianna Valler, the new organizers for the market. “It also made it difficult for venders to plan and attend. For that reason, along with people’s safety, we felt it was better to cancel for this year.”

The Vallers are planning to start the market earlier in 2021, and are looking at tapping into vendors from the Blackfoot Valley, and utilizing the resources the area has to offer.

“We would love to see some smaller cottage industry vendors.” Tiana said.

Some things they are planning for 2021 include live, local music, and cars and coffee, which allows folks with older vehicles to set them up for people to look at and enjoy some of Lincoln’s own locally roasted coffee. Balsamic Root Catering, who serves local Mannix grass-fed beef, also plans to be part of the market in 2021.

Plans are for the Farmers Market to be held each Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning in the spring. A 10-foot by 10-foot booth costs $20.

“We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone.” Tiana said.
