Letter: Who really are the racists

Racism: the belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others. 2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

Democrats have always used race to obtain power. At first they championed slavery and divided the country, and after the civil war they used their political and police power to pass laws and actions denying blacks basic human and civil rights.

After Supreme Court rulings; Republican legislation; Republican president Eisenhower sending federal troops and a sea change in public attitudes they were forced to switch tactics.

Democrats now maintain, and liberals believe, that the USA is currently a racist nation. They have launched a racist accusation movement that makes the Salem witch trials or McCarthy's communist accusations look fair, unbiased and compassionate by comparison. Use of the N word, Halloween costumes, grade school children dressing as historical figures, wearing blackface or being a Republican President and much, much, much more, all make you a racist.

Being labeled a racist is as terrifying as being labeled a witch or communist was and the consequences like lost jobs and business's, TV shows, political defeat, public humiliation, and even mob violence are just as grave. Democrats routinely use the charge to label opposing candidates, parties and voters, out of the sincere belief it will help them politically regardless of truth

In a truly racist country being labeled a racist is not a problem. The racist of the 60's welcomed the label; Democrats ran for office as segregationist.

Now if you know that something like charter schools is proven to give minority children their best opportunity to better their lot in life and that public schools are a slow road to guaranteed poverty you might consider a person of power who denied access to charter schools a racist. Or if a minority neighborhood had rioters burning down businesses that provide jobs and local shopping to minority people, the person in power who ordered the police to stand down might be a racist. Is the power person who supports Union and civil service rules which prevent the firing of bad, incompetent, corrupted racist police or teachers a racist? Democrats do this and insist that everyone else is racist because of Halloween costumes.

Who really are the racists?
