Jr. Hi Lynx dominate in St. Regis

The Lincoln. Junior High football team scored a win against St. Regis during their Saturday, Oct. 3 contest in St. Regis

The game began with Lincoln receiving the ball on kickoff with great position. A 40-plus yard run by Andrew Brown soon brought Lincoln's first touchdown.

Lincoln led 6-0 and held St. Regis to just a few yards, while the Lynx gained yards on each play.

Brown carried the ball in for another touchdown early in the second quarter, but the Lynx missed the extra point, leaving Lincoln with a 12-0 lead.

Lynx defenders Elijah Barnett and Kayden Tybo halted a push by St. Regis, and an interception by Asa Lattin again gave the Lynx possession, which they used to move the ball down field before halftime.

The Lincoln defense in the third quarter held St. Regis back, and an interception by Caden on a St. Regis third down play brought the Lynx yet another touchdown.

The stout Lynx defense, highlighting the players hard tackles and teamwork, halted the Tigers efforts to score, and some deft ball handling, including a pass to RoegunDietz in the end zone, added to the Lincoln score, as they ended the 3rd quarter up 32-0.

The Tigers found themselves in good scoring position during the fourth quarter and were able to rack up their first touch down, following three missed tackles by Lincoln.

A one-point conversion brought the score to 32-7.Once again, the Lincoln defense held St. Regis to just a few yards. Brown brought the Lynx another touchdown, but a blocked kick cost them the extra point. A final touchdown and conversion pass to Lincoln's Teegan Tybo brought the Lynx a 43-7 victory over the Tigers.
