Correction - June 17 issue:

The dates listed in the Lincoln summer events article published June 17 had the wrong dates listed for the Lincoln Flea Market. The dates should have been July 16-18. (This correction was reflected in an update to the original story on our website)

Corrections - April 22 issue:

Back on April 22 we published an article “Lincoln Airport looking ahead to new equipment, possibilities” on improvements to the Lincoln airports, including the addition of weather cameras.

We recently discovered that we failed to publish several corrections sent to us by Tim Conway, the administrator for the Montana Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division.

Regarding the weather cameras, Conway noted there is no commitment to add a fourth camera. A fourth camera may be an option in the future but Conway would like to redirect the existing cameras as the first option.

The story also stated that “House Bill 20 … would allow grants to be awarded to airports for courtesy cars”. Conway said that is already permissible under existing statute. HB20, signed by Gov. Greg Gianforte May 15 allows grants to be awarded to state-owned airports for courtesy cars.

Conway also clarified that Montana’s ACE Academy is not co-sponsored by the FAA. It’s sponsored by Aeronautics, with scholarships available through donations received from the aviation community.
