With only one day to rest from their pounding by Granite, the Lincoln Lady Lynx fired themselves up to face visiting Seeley Lake, who showed up Saturday, Sept. 3 with seven seniors and a full bench of lower classmen.
Whew! Time to dig deep.
The Lincoln squad has high expectations for their season and each hitter is, as they said, "all in." Courage was the word of the day. The Blackhawks are always contending for the top spot in the 13-C conference and their swagger is well earned. But the fearless Lynx gave them a real contest despite the 8-25, 13-25, 14-25 loss.
Local fans applauded the rocket over-hand serves of the Lynx, even when they came down in the next county. Lots of muscle in these gals. Some fine-tuning for the serves is in the future. The team hopes the community will come out to support them on Sept. 8 when they face Victor at home.
