Obituary: Gary Stephen Williams

Gary Stephen Williams passed away Nov. 18, 2022, at the age of 69 after a brief illness while battling leukemia.

Gary was born on May 19, 1953, to Verna and Pete Williams in Helena. He attended Helena High School in Helena, Montana. He spent much of his time enjoying life at the cabin in Lincoln, Mont. He enjoyed friends, laughter, outdoor adventures, hunting, fishing, picking huckleberries, gathering firewood, countless games of cribbage and the peace of the mountains. He was a joyful, quick witted and kind man. He spent his last years with his beloved dog Rosie. He will be missed by many.

Gary was preceded in death by his father Pete, mother Verna, his treasured best friend Terry "Moe" Morrison and many other friends he cared deeply for.

Gary is survived by two daughters Gina (Gabriel) and RyAnn, his son-outlaw- Harlan, five grandchildren Alannah, Cody, Aubrie, Cameron and Wyatt, his younger sister Beth, niece Cassie, nephews Heath and Scott and his best friend Terry's wonderful wife Linda, their children Jill, Leslie, TJ, Chris and Nick.

A celebration of life will be held in Lincoln at the Lincoln Community Hall on what would be his 70th birthday, Friday May 19, 2023, at 11 a.m. This will be a time for everyone to gather, share stories, and remember who he was in their lives. Everyone is welcome to bring a potluck item, pictures, an open heart and love for everyone who loved him. An ash spreading ceremony will follow the Celebration of Life gathering for those who wish to join.
