HAMILTON - Peggy L Knight, 64, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, at her home with family by her side, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 14, 1958, in Glasgow, Montana, to Harland L and Marian E (Nakken) Estrem.
Peggy was raised in Glasgow and graduated from Glasgow High, in 1977. She attended college in Billings for one year and then returned to Glasgow to work. In 1997, the family moved to Alaska to attend Bible College. While there, she also worked at the elementary school, following another passion, helping kids with reading and speech. Her work there with children was honored by the state of Alaska when she was presented their "Paraprofessional of the Year" award.
The family returned to Montana, in 2005, to help care for her mother. Since moving to Hamilton, she has continued to minister to and love on kids here, serve on the area team for Operation Christmas Child, helping bring the Gospel of Jesus to kids around the world, as well as working in the local elementary school.
