Community Hall, Chamber of Commerce co-sponsoring Community Social

The Lincoln Community Hall and Lincoln Valley Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a “ Get to know your community & neighbors social” April 14 at the Hall.

The two organizations are reaching out to the whole community with the goal of reconnecting with area residents who may have been isolated during the COVID-19 pandemic and to introduce new residents to the community and to local organizations.

Event organizers Renee Lundberg and Sue Howsmon have been reaching out to Lincoln’s many local organizations to ask them to participate.

In the past couple of years organizations have struggled to find active members and volunteers, particulalry amid the pandemic. The social will provide those organizations with a chance to reach out to the community and remind residents of their missions.They can also highlight any changes they’ve undergone in recent years, provide updates on projects, and publicize upcoming planned events and volunteer requirements.

The social kicks off at 4 p.m. Friday, April 14 and runs until 8 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
