Lincoln School BPA chapters have strong showing at 2023 State Leadership Conference

Top performers raising funds to attend Nationals

Our local Lincoln BPA high school and middle school chapters had an outstanding presence at the 2023 State Leadership Conference.

Of the 16 students eligible to participate, 11 students placed in the top 10 in their events, meaning they were recognized in front of more than 1200 students who represent BPA Montana. Of the 11 students, six placed to move on to the National Leadership Conference.

Jordyn Zarske placed 3rd in Digital Citizenship and 3rd in Financial Literacy. She also placed 10th in the Nation for her Promotional Photography and will be a part of the National showcase to display her photo.

Hailey Smith placed 1st in Human Resource Exploration and 2nd in Presentation Team.

Remi Dietz placed 2nd in Human Resource Exploration and 2nd in Presentation Team. She also placed 10th in the Nation for her Promotional Photography and will be a part of the National showcase to display her photo.

Elijah Barnett placed 2nd in Entrepreneurship Exploration and 3rd in Extemporaneous Speech.

Makena Copenhaver & Andrea Weisner placed 3rd in their Podcast team project.

Both Noah Barnett, our chapter President, and Makena Copenhaver, our chapter Vice President, will also attend Nationals as officer interns.

All of these students are required to raise $2,500 independently of the school to attend Nationals, which is quite the endeavor, but we will accomplish this. All funds must be raised by April 6 to be able to attend Nationals.

We will leave for Anaheim, Calif. bright and early April 25 and return Sunday, April 30.
